Boards and materials from the October 14 Open House
The Plan's October 14 Open House was very successful, with close to 50 people in attendance!

Participants had a chance to review large boards summarizing content and recommendations from each of the plan chapters, and ask questions and interact with members of the Project Steering Committee and the planning team. Participants also provided comments for consideration into the draft plan.

You can click on the links provided here to download the boards, view the introductory presentation, and see images from the event.

Report from Survey #2

The plan's second public survey, which asked detailed questions about priorities for housing, parks, Downtown, transportation, and community priorities, is now closed.

We received very high levels of participation with a
total of 840 participants, with 488 completing the entire questionnaire - these would be excellent results anywhere, but are especially notable in a community of 5,500 people!

Videos from our TWO Virtual Public Workshops!
The Comprehensive Plan's first set of Virtual Public Workshops took place on February 18. We held TWO interactive sessions via Zoom that same day to make it easy for residents to join at the time that works best for them. The sessions were recorded and are available for your review here: Session 1 (video) | Session 2 (video) . Content for both sessions was the same.

The first session was held at 1 pm, and a second one at 6:30 pm. A total of 26 participants registered for the first session, with another 10 participants registering for the evening session.

Activities included a brief presentation providing an overview of the plan and discussion on community values and goals for the future of Glencoe.

Work on the new plan has started!
We're glad to announce that work on the City's Comprehensive Plan has begun! A Request for Proposal process has been completed and a consultant has been selected and hired.

Twin Cities firm Community Design Group (CDG), with subconsultants Moxie Urban Consulting and Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) will work closely with residents and City Staff to develop the plan.

The Consultant Team will work with the newly-assembled Project Steering Committee (PSC) and City Staff to develop an initial inventory of existing assets and issues, engage residents in providing guidance to the plan, and prepare recommendations for improving the future of the City.

Please visit this page often to access the latest news and participate in the Plan's development!
